2024 FDG Committee Chairs

Patti Tobin, Communications Chair

Patti is a long-time resident of Glenview with a background in marketing and communications. When the time came to consider moving her young family from the city, she was adamant that the new place would have be walkable to the train downtown for work, parks for play and restaurants for a bite and a beverage. After finding all those things in a neighborhood near downtown Glenview, she now volunteers with FDG to strengthen the heart of downtown by promoting all of its assets to current and future residents.

Kay Laurie, Membership Chair

Kay is a 33-year Glenview resident. While raising her two sons, she volunteered on the St. David's Nursery School board, District 34 PTA, and served on the Glenview 4th of July committee for over 25 years. Kay joined FDG in 2022.

Jim Krautsack, Blocktoberfest Co-Chair

James Krautsack is relatively new to FDG and Blocktoberfest and became involved in 2023 as a volunteer. He is co-chairing the 2024 Blocktoberfest and is bringing 40+ years of hospitality experience. Jim received a business degree in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Denver and also went to a French culinary school in the US as well as the Rhone Valley of France. Jim has worked in small, highly rated restaurants (Everest) to large sporting events (Super Bowl XXVII) and everything in-between. Most recently, Jim has been the GM of private clubs locally (the Glen View Club) and in New York (Nassau Country Club). Jim is excited to use his leadership and hospitality expertise to help build upon the Blocktoberfest foundation.
